Position Title: Associate/Senior Associate
Department: US Client Service
Location: San Francisco, CA

Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the client service team in handling the day- to-day needs of the firm’s client (existing and prospective) base. This position will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the client service team.

This position requires a mature individual who can adapt to changing requirements easily, demonstrates the ability to take ownership of assigned projects, completes work within the assigned timelines and works well in teams and independently.

The Associate/Senior Associate will work closely with the members of the CS team as well as with the broader firm platform. The Associate/Senior Associate will report to the Team Leader.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work alongside the firm’s relationship managers and investment teams to provide client service support for large institutional clients
  • Produce cash flow modelling, performance reporting, pitch books, RFPs, term sheets, investment roadmaps
  • Respond to ad-hoc client requests
  • Work with legal, investment, operations and client service teams to on-board new clients including review of subscription materials, CIQs and AML documents
  • Produce and review special/customized client reporting and review quarterly reports and data produced by operations for accuracy
  • Work with relationship managers to coordinate and schedule meetings with prospects/clients
  • Track leads and marketing activity as well as follow-up
  • Attend and minute consultant/client meetings when appropriate
  • Provide support and act as project manager on ad hoc and on-going team projects and initiatives
  • Provide support when needed to the analyst/associate pool and review workflow produced by pooled resources

Candidate Requirements:

  • Knowledge of private equity or other alternative investments
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in using Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong desire to continue/develop a career focused on client service
  • Current working knowledge of private equity landscape and institutional investor demographic
  • Ability to multi-task in an organized and dynamic fashion
  • Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of marketing process as it relates to consultants, plan sponsors, RFPs and client interaction
  • Solid financial and quantitative, as well as qualitative skillset
  • CRM and data-tracking skills (i.e. working with database or client CRM)
  • High energy, personable approach with ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Proven ability to take initiative and demonstrate high standards of excellence in work product
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • MBA and/or CFA preferred
